Underwater enthusiasts should check out Biscayne National Park, which covers almost 173,000 square acres south of Miami. Ninety-five percent of this park is water and covers mangrove swamp, shoreline, offshore coral reef, and more. Engage with the marine life or just lay by the bay for a relaxing outing. Bring your diving equipment or rent on-site to swim with the colorful schools of fish and through numerous shipwrecks.

Everyone knows about Miami's great beaches and how great they are to beat the heat. But if you're looking for a more unique way to escape the scorching weather this summer, head to one of these parks for a one-of-a-kind experience.
