Citi Field: Five Fast Facts

A home run was hit inside of Citi Field before the stadium was even completed. Don’t believe it? In May of 2007 David Wright hit a home run off of Yankees pitcher Mike Meyers. The ball cleared Shea Stadiums bleachers and soared right into the neighboring structures of Citi Field. Wright was also the first Mets player to hit a home run inside the stadium when it was finally completed.
