When we think of Napa Valley, California, our mind conjures up images of bucolic wineries and sunshine spilling over rolling hills.

Whether you come for the vineyards or the friendly faces -- you’ve still got to eat! Luckily, the area is home to some of the best fine dining California has to offer.

AFAR Magazine has revealed a few of their favorite thing around Napa, and this video showcases two of their favorite local culinary superstars! At fine dining establishment Meadowood, John Hong has been named Chef de Cuisine, a spot recently vacated by his wife, Katianna Hong.

For her next achievement, Chef Katianna is busy launching a new dining destination opening in May, under Meadowood’s acclaimed Executive Chef, Christopher Kostow.

A visit to California’s wine country is simply not complete without a stop at luxe getaway Meadowood, Napa’s stylish resort settled on a private, two-hundred-fifty-acre estate. Along with Michelin Three-Star dining options, the property offers sumptuous lodging, golf, tennis, croquet, hiking, swimming, and a luxurious full-service spa, awarded Five-Stars by Forbes Travel Guide. Meadowood is also a proud member of Relais & Chateaux.

The Charter Oak is slated for a May 2017 launch. For more on Napa Valley, check out AFAR Magazine’s travel guide. Save us a seat at the table!
