When you think of the ultimate cruise, a teal-blue Caribbean beach probably comes to mind. But, according to the latest Cruise Industry News Report, Asia is on track to become the second most popular cruise market by as early as next year. We did a little snooping, and you might just be surprised by the amazing luxury Chinese cruise options we found!

  • Every major cruise company is launching a cruise in this new Chinese market including Carnival, RCI, and Norwegian to name just a few. Many of the newest and most innovative ships are heading to Asia, including Royal Caribbean’s “Ovation of the Seas.” Due to arrive in its home port of Tianjin later this year, the Ovation will be able to accommodate a whopping 4180 savvy travelers.

  • What sets these Chinese cruises apart from the rest? Since the Chinese cruise passenger forgoes the bar and poolside scenes for more exciting activities, these new ships will offer a more extensive array of entertainment offerings, high-quality culinary options and adventure experiences. For instance, “Ovation of the Seas” will offer 18 eateries, luxury shopping, and a massive indoor sports complex with bumper cars and roller skating. RCI has also designed a brand-new DreamWorks Experience including a kids club and 3D movie screenings in the onboard theatre for the Ovation.
