The Mill Valley Film Festival is Celebrating 40th Birthday in Marin County!
As if you need another reason to visit Northern California, the celebrated annual Mill Valley Film Festival is about to once again bring legions of Hollywood elite and film superstars to the Bay Area! Producers, directors and movie stars are all coming to showcase new and notable independent and international films from October 5 to October 15th.
The festival will also feature tributes, panel discussions, and spotlights to acclaimed filmmakers, screenwriters and actors. Among high profile featured guests, this year’s tributes will include talks and events with the director and screenwriter Todd Haynes, Academy Award winners Holly Hunter and Dame Kristen Scott Thomas, as well as Academy Award-winning film icon and one time Marin County resident, Sean Penn. Over the course of the Festival, attendees will be able to screen and view over 100 new films, including several world premieres. Festival organizers expect more than 60,000 movie fans from around the world!
Mill Valley is located in the heart of Marin County, just north of San Francisco. Our friends at Visit Marin are Festival Circle Sponsors, and will be hosting the FilmMaker Party, an intimate gathering of 200 VIP guests and attending filmmakers.
