When we think of this Croatian attraction, we are reminded of the Alfred Lord Tennyson quote, "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

Winner of the EMYA Kenneth Hudson Award as the most innovative and daring museum project in Europe, the Museum of Broken Relationships is truly an emotional journey for the ages. Located in Zagreb, Croatia, the museum was created in 2006 by two ex-lovers Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubiši?. The goal of this museum is to treasure and share heartbreak stories of the public and their sentimental possessions. Each contributor donates an item and a personal, anonymous story... and that's preciesely what makes this museum so unique: The Museum of Broken Relationships is a museum about humanity and the way people love and lose.

We all have heard of The Louvre in Paris and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, but there are dozens of stunningly epic museums around the globe that, year after year, go undiscovered by the common tourist.

These attractions are truly hidden gems in their own right, and we'd like to share our favorites with you! From France to Japan, we’ve rounded up some of the most notable museums you must visit!
