JFK International Airport


It’s common knowledge that JFK International Airport was named after President John F. Kennedy. Prior to his assassination in 1963, the airport was named New York International Airport - Anderson Field, and was unofficially known as Idlewild Airport.

As the busiest international airport in the United States, JFK has six terminals, four runways, and hosts over 70 different airlines, all flying through the Big Apple.
