Versailles attracts locals and in-the-know visitors with their generous menu offerings, especially the crispy-on-the-outside cuban sandwich. Two buttery slices of cuban bread hugs generous cuts of golden bolo ham coated in brown sugar, pineapple juice, and cloves, then followed by three slices of Swiss cheese and slow roasted pork. Open til late, so stop by for an early lunch or an after-the-club nighttime snack.

Miami has so much to offer: The hot nights, white sand beaches, festive year-round attitude, and of course, delicious food with some Cuban flare. Tasting a Cuban sandwich in Miami is a must, since this deliciously savory menu item is believed to have been born right here in the Sunshine state. At the very least, the Cuban sandwich was a menu mainstay by the 1960s, at the height of the Cuban migration to sunny South Florida.

We’ve tasted plenty of delicious Cubans in Florida, but these are a few of our faves.
